1. Value Spare One Year Fitment Guarantee–

All Value Spare Wheel And Tire Assemblies as well as the full spare tire changing kits come with a 1-year fitment guarantee which applies from the date the item is shipped. In the unlikely event of a fitment issue with your spare tire, Value Spare will provide a solution to the fitment issue or aid you with further guidance in its proper use. If it is discovered that an incorrect item was shipped that prevents proper use, Value Spare will make the necessary correction with no additional shipping costs being applied to you the customer for all customers located in the United States. For customers outside the U.S., shipping charges may apply. 

If a spare or spare kit is returned within the 30-day policy time frame due to a fitment issue, no shipping charges will be deducted from your refund. Please note, if it is determined that the fitment issue was the result of user error and the correct items were provided as promised, associated shipping charges will apply as stated in the normal return policy (see below). If beyond the stated 30-day period, fitment issues do not guarantee a refundable return of the spare and associated components. The 1-year fitment guarantee ensures that Value Spare will rectify the fitment issue. 

The goal of Value Spare is to provide the best possible spare tire solution for your vehicle at the most affordable price. If there is a fitment issue, we are committed to rectifying this for you and making sure you have reassurance in your travels. After this one-year period, Value Spare’s expert staff will happily assist you with any issues that arise related to product use, fitment, and maintenance, although shipping costs may apply if additional kit components are needed.

Please note– Exceptions to the fitment guarantee

There may be instances where auto manufacturers will modify or update vehicle software that affects your vehicle’s operation. Although we cannot fully anticipate what future software changes will be made to your vehicle, we design our spare tire kits to avoid usability issues stemming from potential software updates. We do not expect any updates to affect your spare tire usage; however, we are only able to guarantee that spare tire functionality applies to your vehicle’s operational software at the time of our original testing. As with any use or fitment questions that arise, we are committed to providing reassurance as you travel and strive to do right by our customers. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

1-Year Limited Component Warranty on all spare tire components 

Each component assembled to be defined as a spare tire along with the optional tools known as the Tire Changin Kit limited to the jack, jack handle, and wrench set is covered under a Limited Value Spare Warranty against manufacturer defect for the period of 1 year from the original date of shipment. With the exception of abuse and misuse of included components, Value Spare will honor the repair or replacement of included components that have failed to perform their intended function under reasonably normal conditions. Road hazards, as they are commonly known, which may cause damage to a wheel and tire, are not considered covered normal-use conditions for warranty repair or replacement. Jacks included in a Value Spare Tire Changing Kit are considered light-use jacks for the sole purpose of replacing a factory wheel and tire with a spare tire. These jacks are NOT to be used in a manner similar to a floor jack or other device to raise a vehicle. The jack that is part of the Tire Changing Kit is NOT to be used in tandem (or two at a time). The jack is rated to lift one section of the vehicle and is not designed to be stable when used in conjunction with a 2nd Value Spare jack or any other device used to simultaneously raise the vehicle. 

Any misuse or use outside of reasonable intended use will void the warranty in full. 

Value Spare maintains full discretion in determining whether the component failure is the result of misuse or overuse. 

Value Spare Tires or any tire used on a Value Spare product is designed for limited range and speed. The spare is designed to be used to travel to original destinations or repair facilities within a reasonable distance. Tires used beyond usable wear within the 1-year warranty period will not constitute a warrantable defect and will not qualify for replacement. Tires failing due to road hazards, use during under-inflation, or use beyond the tire’s capability are not covered under the component warranty. 

Return Policy- 

The Value Spare return policy has a duration of 30 days from the date the item has shipped (regardless of the order date). The return policy allows you to return the spare tire and/or tire changing kit if you simply decide you no longer want the item. If 30 days have passed since your package left our facility based on carrier tracking records, unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or return option.

Returns will be subject to non-refundable shipping costs of both the original shipping and return shipping. Your refund will reflect the full purchase price minus these associated shipping costs.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, complete, and in the same condition that you received it.

To initiate a return, we will need to verify your order. Please provide your name and any identifying order details such as your order number. Email them to info@valuespare.com along with your request for a return. Please indicate the reason for your return.

Please do not send back an item before sending this info and receiving a return authorization reply from Value Spare customer service. Rejecting a shipment upon delivery is not sufficient to facilitate your returned item. The buyer is responsible to provide tracking information on the return either from the return shipping provided by Modern Spare or from a carrier you choose to transport the returned package. 

Once a return has been approved, the returning parcel must be in the possession of the return carrier within 14 days and be trackable.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

  • If any item is not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • If any item is returned more than 30 days after the shipped date and is first approved by Value Spare where special circumstances are applicable.

There are no charges if you choose to cancel an order before it is processed for shipping. However, if you choose to cancel the order after the order is processed for shipping and a tracking number is generated and before it is delivered to you, Value Spare will attempt to have the shipping carrier recall the package. If we are successful in recalling the package, the refund amount will reflect the full purchase price minus the outbound shipping charge. If we are unable to have the package recalled and it is delivered to you, please follow the normal process of requesting an order return.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your approved return is received, it will be inspected.  You will receive an email to notify you that your refund has been processed and will have details on the amount and outcome of the return inspection.

Value Spare is only able to issue refunds applied to the original payment method and card used. Please allow up to 7 business days for this credit to appear in your bank account or on your credit card after the refund email is received from Value Spare

Deductions from refunds other than shipping

  • If any item is returned more than 30 days after the shipped date and is first approved by Value Spare

Please note – It is critically important to repackage the returned items carefully. Take care to have all accessories (jack, tools, etc) packaged adequately so that no contact is made with the wheel finish during transport. If a spare wheel is returned scratched or damaged, a value assessment will be made during inspection once received. This value assessment will be deducted from any due refund.

Undeliverable or “Return to Sender” Parcels

If an order is shipped and returned due to the carrier being unable to deliver the item as a result of address clarity or the parcel being unclaimed after delivery attempts are made, the original charge will be refunded minus the cost of shipping. If this situation has arisen with your order, please contact Value Spare. We will gladly work to find a solution and get the matter resolved.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund as expected we ask that you first check with your bank or credit card company. Often, a return credit can take up to 7 business days to be posted.

Shipments Outside the US

For international orders, your home country may have import duties and taxes associated with the purchase of spare tire kits and other products we offer. As each country has different customs requirements, be aware that it is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay the fees being charged by your home country. These charges may be due before or even after delivery and generally are paid to the delivery carrier.

Shipments Outside the US – Undeliverable or “Return to Sender” Parcels

If an international order is shipped and returned due to the carrier being unable to deliver the item as a result of address clarity or the parcel being unclaimed after delivery attempts are made, the original charge will be refunded minus the cost of shipping. If this situation has arisen with your order, please contact Value Spare. We will gladly work to find a solution and get the matter resolved.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@valuespare.com. Once your exchange request has been approved and initiated we will then send details for your return shipment. If an item was ordered by mistake such as a kit for an incorrect car model, Value Spare can assist you with rectifying the situation.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later the refund will be applied to the original purchaser. This will, in turn, notify the original purchaser (gift giver) that a return was processed.

Credit Card Charges and Payment Transactions

Normal In-stock orders

All transaction charges to your chosen method of payment are processed at the time the order is placed. We make every effort to have the product shipped by the estimated ship date shown on your order confirmation. We make efforts to notify you of unexpected delays with the option of keeping your order in place. You do have the option of canceling orders that have not shipped.

Back Order Or Pre-order products

We will offer kit options as pre-orders if a kit is near the final stage of development. This allows you to secure an order in place for an upcoming release. Although the Pre-order process will capture your credit card information if you choose to provide it, no charge will be applied to your card at that time. At the time of release or when the product is available for shipment, we will attempt to notify you to inform you that your order will be processed. Once confirmed, the card will be charged and your order will then be considered a normal order.

If we are forecasting delays in inventory supplies, we will offer a backorder option. Just like the pre-order option, you can provide the card and payment information to reserve your purchase, however, no charge will be applied at that time. Once the product is available and ready to ship, we will attempt to notify you before a charge is processed. Once you confirm the order can proceed, the card will be charged. The order will then be processed as a normal order.

We do not store or have access to card information. Payment and card information is kept secure by Stripe Card Processing which allows us to process the card once the product is ready to ship.

A pre-order or backorder is intended to provide a convenient method of securing a future order for items not yet in stock. A pre-order or backorder is not considered an actual order until we have confirmation from you to proceed and we have applied a charge to your payment method. If you have a preorder or backorder in place, please be watchful for email notifications in order to confirm the order can proceed.

Return Shipping

Shipping costs are non-refundable. As stated in the return policy, refunds will reflect the original purchase price minus associated shipping.

In almost all situations, when requesting a return, it will be less expensive for customers to have Value Spare book their return shipment and provide them with a pre-paid return shipping label.

If you purchase your own return shipping, your refund will reflect the purchase price minus the original outbound shipping. This will be reflected in your refund details. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75 in value, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that any item that you ship will successfully be delivered to our warehouse.
